Chief Business Officer of Axiom Space
Amir Blachman is the Chief Business Officer of Axiom Space, a Houston/ Los Angeles-based company providing human spaceflight missions to agency astronauts, UHNW private astronauts, researchers and manufacturers.
The company was founded on the premise that space exploration should be conducted by the largest community of nations possible and the belief that we should explore as a species. Therefore, in addition to providing missions to the International Space Station (ISS), Axiom assists countries in developing their own capability to attain the social, economic and security benefits of having a human spaceflight program.
The company is also building a commercial space station to follow the International Space Station (ISS), with the first parts going to space in 2023. More information about the station and team can be found at www.axiomspace.com.
Prior to Axiom, Blachman was Managing Director of an international space investment syndicate with LPs in 11 countries. He serves as an advisor to the Moonshot space startup accelerator and to Bye Aerospace, the leading developer of all-electric trainer aircraft. He has been a guest of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute, Blockchain Money Summit, Space Symposium, Israel Space Week and others.
He is involved with multiple programs supporting STEM education and cultivating the next generation of entrepreneurs and explorers. Blachman holds a BA from UC Santa Barbara, an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and has completed the school’s Executive Program in corporate governance. He is an instrument-rated private pilot, and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
