Co-Founder, Smash Ventures, a later stage consumer technology investment vehicle. Smash Ventures co-led the recent $1.25B investment in Epic Games (Fortnite) alongside KKR and ICONiQ, 2018's largest venture deal. Previously, Eric helped lead venture and growth deals for The Walt Disney Company. Before that, he founded big data company BigChampagne, a leading web and mobile analytics provider to brands, Wall Street analysts, and the entertainment industry. BigChampagne was acquired by Live Nation (LYV) in 2011. Eric then spun up Live Nation's internal innovation group, leading web and mobile strategy, technology product development, and tech investing (notable investments include Lyft). Eric began his career in management consulting. His earliest work in entertainment and technology was focused on developing online music products with MP3.com and Napster, among many others.
