CEO/Co-Founder of MREN and ContinuM
Joy Hou is a commercial real estate (CRE) and technology entrepreneur with over 25 years of industry experience. She founded MREN to bring connectivity to highly fragmented industries, starting with CRE, by developing solutions that enable individuals and organizations to build their own trusted network as they collaborate with others.
Joy has completed $10B of CRE debt and equity transactions, primarily from her career on Wall Street at DLJ, Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital (Head of Hospitality). In addition, she co-founded and served as CEO of RAISC, a distressed CRE platform that centralized information for over 5,000 assets with $3B of value and supported disposition of close to 3,000 assets.
Joy graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and is an active member of the Cornell Community. She is currently on the Board of Cornell Asian Alumni Association and has previously served on the Board of Country Montessori School. In addition, she is the founder of CRE Women Social Network and is involved in women-focused organizations such as AAUW.
